Decorating progress

Before we went to Colorado, we agreed with our builder that he'd empty the apartment, redo the floors and also paint all the walls. Here are a couple of pics of the new floor and walls of the living room. One of the pics is natural light (the first one), the other is with a flash. The floor is much less red than it used to be and looks good - tomorrow they varnish/finish it (today was the sanding and staining). The wall colours - on the window wall we've gone for a poppy red for a bit of a change -and it goes really well. My only concern is that I chose that colour before I bought the sage green sofa - I'm worried it'll look like a Christmas Tree shop:) I may as well as wait until the sofa arrives to worry about it. Interestingly the beige colour on the walls looked fine with the old floors, but now may be a little pale....

I'm still hoping we'll be back in there by the weekend, but for now, I'm hanging out at our neighbours place.
