Ipswich Town - Who'd have thought?
Trev and I took a trip to Hoboken to see the condo and take a good assessment on whether it's going to be ready in time.....my gut tells me know, but we wanted to see. That was a waste of time as it was all locked up. We'll go back on the weekend as there's an open house. Hopefully everything's in place and it should be fine.....keeping my fingers crossed.
So on our way back we stopped in at a bar for a beer/gin and tonic (it was hot, and an afternoon right before the 4th July day off) and was hoping that this Mulligans was the same as the Mulligans around the corner from where we lived in Manhattan. The service was as obnoxious as the other, the drinks came in the same weird-ass glasses (for the UK readers...think Shell freebies from the 80s!!) but they don't serve food. Bummer - coz at the other one they did a really good bangers and mash! Oh well, we'll have to take a trip.
Anyway, I digress. So, we're sitting at the bar and i'm look at the "ornaments"....what do I find? A beer bottle with a drawing on it of the Ipswich Town emblem! It was pretty accurate too! Can you believe that? It was right next to Chelsea and Leyton Orient. Weird choices.......... when I looked around I also found an Ipswich Town scarf pinned to the wall!!
Who'd have thought?
BTW - Happy July 4th!!
